When you start pulling off cooling components you can find some white powdery oxidization on the metal parts. The goo is probably that as well as dirt and everything else that works its way into your system over time.

I don't know... Maybe 3-4 years or even more. I bought the car about 6 month ago, did less than a hundred miles and here I am.

flush it and drive it for awhile, the only way to tell. If it looks like that again, there is your answer.

^^That's what I will do. But I wont drive it for a while. I'm presently building a project. The engine will go in another body.

Well it is a lot easier to do a HG with the engine already out of the car.

It doesn't look like the right color for oil/coolant to me, and you'd have to have a lot of oil in your coolant anyway, otherwise, it'd mostly just float on the surface.

Did you have antifreeze in there too? Or just water?

There must be antifreeze, because I live in a cold country. However, As written, I bought the car 6 month ago, so I don'y know what the last owner had put. It was blue, first time I see car with antifreeze that color!
