This sounds really silly. But my new strut brace won't fit on my car. It fits on my other stock e30 but not the 50 swapped. Could the swapped have maybe bent the frame a bit. Its only about half an inch off.

My bavauto bar fit on both my cars without jacking up either side.

I did then the bolt fell. Just had to drop the whole strut and spring. :( its almost as it has caved in but its not far off.

Does not compute. Why did the "strut cave in" when trying to mount a bar on the top? Pictures?

No nothing gaved in while doing it. Just seems the car has caved in over time that why it is not fitting.

Everything looks fine under the car and carfaxs says no. But you can always pay people under the table these days... What's that be the only reason it is not fitting? Even though its only a bit off.

It was a vert and this is a 2 door

I knew it, There is your issue. The vert and sedan towers are a different measurement. You can't run a vert strut bar on anything other than another vert.
