    Remove auto trans plugs..

I am about to start my wiring for my M50. Just want to make sure I am deleting the right plugs for the auto trans. I am assuming I need to take out the plug with less wires going to it, and the smaller rectangle plug going into the gb.. Correct??

The smaller rectangle plug (not in any picture that I saw) is the tranny plug, but I'm not sure of the "plug with less wires going to it." I'm assuming you're talking about the diagnostic plug (that looks like the X20 plug), don't get rid of that. You most likely need that to pass smog.

Here are pics. I have both plug ends from the original car (pictured)

pic 1 shows 2 plugs on engine harness(with the car side plugged in from donor car)
pic 2 is what I believe to be the engine c101
pic 3 I believe went to the auto trans in donor car
pic 4 are the plugs on the engine harness that go through the firewall into the glove box.

I am assuming I can delete the harness plug in pic 3, and the smaller gb plug in pic 4 and all its wiring in between???
        Thanks

Correct, open the DME plug and trim the unused wires right back to the connectors, you will also be removing the autobox wiring plug which is down by the O2 sensor plug.
I prefer auto looms as you get plenty of extra feed and earth wiring to use for extras in your loom 8)

            Thanks.

So the 2 I assume I can remove are the right ones. Just double checking!!

ok.. So I removed the plugs today. I have 2 wires left over brn/org and brn/blk. I thought I read somewhere that these get hooked together for manual trans cars?? Correct..
