Post pics of your motor mount arms

I would like to see your arm setups.
Mine were made by the PO and I'm losing confidence in them so I'm thinking about having them redone. I'll take pics tomorrow.

yup, i would grab some e36 ones, they can be had for pennies at a wreaker.... Also what rubber mounts did he use underneath? and well we are at it, what else has been ghetto rigged?

most wreakers wont know the term E36, so either you go to a pick and pull(which dont exist around these parts) or you go to a specialty BMW wreaker(got one of those:D) or you go through every model and year of E36 until you find one they have... lol... they usually get pretty confused at this point and wont like you very much... but thats life....

since we're on the topic of motor mounts, has anyone actually proven that there is a difference between the drivers side arm?

I've noticed that the earlier models (92/93 confirmed) didn't have the raise band going across it, the only other one ive seen in the yard was a 97 that DID have the band on the mount.

Not sure really. It looks to be only an appearance difference, see the raised band that runs across the top?

Cross referencing the part on realoem says it should be the same part for all years.

                        probably just a different cast.

There is no difference. That would make no sense.
