Euro motor, track only since I built the car. Race car now. No oiling issues ever. Regular E36 oil pump, E34 pan. Oil sprocket tack welded on. No problems ever. Data log to prove it. I don't even have an accusump on it. There are other people that have had huge issues with oiling. *shrug* Mine is just a data point. Proves nothing.
does the euro have any differing oiling upgrades?...
" just a data point?".....what does that mean?...
blows me away.....how can some have huge isssues...other's not?...Last edited by JRKOUPE; 03-03-2010, 07:46 AM.I love sitting down and just driving!Comment

The Euro motor, as well as the s54 have different oil filter housings, which hook up to an oil cooler.Check out Undr8d Empire on Facebook: www.facebook.com/Undr8dEmpireLlc

well he said he is running the e34 pan setup like the non-euro 24v cars, and isnt the pan and pickup the issue in question?
also, i believe he means he is just a data point, just one case, that doesnt mean all 24v motors will be the same.
but i should let him speak for himself...Comment

The only other thing I can add is, during my research all 6 cylinder E36s use the same pump except the Euro 3.2. Even the Euro 3L uses the same pump as the 2.0L I6.Comment

gobuffs: which tracks do you race on? Are you right hand tracks or left hand tracks?
I've been racing an M20 in the pacific NW for the last 9 years, long left sweepers when using the stock oil pan, no baffle, caused OP to drop into the 20psi range for a few seconds, then it would recover. I ran it like that for years.
Others racing M20s in the Pacific NW would race for years at Pacific Raceways, Portland Intl Raceway, Spokane Race, Mission Raceway(BC), no trouble.
One trip to Thunder Hill in CA, and the next race, their bottom end goes boom.
As a group (ICSCC) we stopped racing Thunder Hill a few years ago.
Pacific Raceways is left hand, Portland Intl Raceway is right hand, Thunder Hill is a little bit of everything.92 325ic (owned 2008-2016)
