    obdI S52 running problem

    S52 from a 98 M3
    obdI from 94 325is
stock computer from early 95 M3, no aftermarket chip (pre ews)

It drives great when I'm taking it easy. When i get on it hard it just cuts out when i shift or clutch kick. Its feels like it just turns off, but obviously it doesn't. Then it almost immediately gets going again.

I am using stock 94 325is injectors with a 95 m3 computer. Do you guys think it is the injectors. I also have 98 M3 injectors but they aren't installed. Should i buy s50 injectors? or is the problem possibly from something unrelated to the injectors.

Also the cars seems to be limited at 120? same issue, or is does the computer think im going a different speed then i am really going. I have a 98 m3 trans and a 3.73 diff.

    thanks all.

You're using injectors and a tune for a 3.0 on a 3.2, and you came here asking what you did wrong? Install the pink injectors and buy the right chip (S52 tune for the OBDI computer).

wrong, read it again. i am using injectors from a 2.5 and tune from a 3.0 and my motor is a 3.2.

i am pretty sure that is the problem but i dont have anyone to ask for a second opinion.

and i am also asking about the car topping out at 120ish?

No, you are wrong. The 2.5 and 3.0 used the same injectors (green top, 17lbs. I believe)

Also with a 1:1 fifth gear of the ZF320 tranny and 3.73, 120 sounds about right.

really? and you wonder why you top out at 120 and cant rev? your injectors are made for a motor more than 25% smaller than the motor you have.

the topping out issue is not b/c of the injectors. it hits 120 running. im sure it can go much more. i think its a governed issue.

So the injectors i am running are actually for the s50 which is the computer i am using. So my car is bogging b/c of the extra .2 liters????
If so, do i need a chip to run the s52 injectors????
