yeah. youll probably find this solution isnt an overly common one because the US didnt get the 320i so people who experiement dont have parts such as that to use. But you should find importing a linkage from the states reletively easy, and the better option than lengthening a 325i linkage or shortning a 318i linkage

I thought the NV M50 starter was the same as the m20, do you have a pic of it by any chance?Comment

funny story - when I posted that, I went later on in the day to try and hook up my starter. I discovered I have 3 of them. 2 of which both have the same hole in the top center of the half circle shape cone that sticks over the starter gear for the plug that sticks off the bellhousing. It seems that neither of those fit onto that plug, and the 3rd one, which also looks the oldest - only has 2 holes for the bolts that secure it to the bellhousing, no hole for the plug in the middle. SO i actually have no idea which is which and which one works, so I'll be posting pictures probably by Wednesday to try and solve this mystery

if you are going to run the M4x dualmass you will need to shave the fly to the ring gear on the back anyway because of clearance issues, which is probably why most people just buy an M20 fly and shave the bitchComment
