S52 e30 Dyno results

Well I finally had an opportunity to have my swapped car dyno'd. I don't know anything about the dyno used. I was told by the guy running the dyno that the numbers are conservative and are lower than what a dyno jet would read. After seeing Mr. Two's video of his dyno pull, I think we used the same dyno, because the people and equipment look the same.

Final results
256.9 hp
261.9 tq

'98 E36 M3 motor and trans (~90,000 miles)
OBD1 conversion
TRM chip
Stock e36 exhaust manifold and cat
AA Gen3 muffler
3.25 final drive

/\ +1 you have some sort of freak s52. Are you sure you don't have cams or something?

Is that corrected crank horsepower or wheel horsepower?

I'm pretty sure that's wheel hp, because there was an S54 M coupe and an e34 M5 that put down 268 and 248, respectively, that day.

what kind of dyno?
a dyno jet will read a little higher than the mustang dyno

The numbers seem optimistic for the mods.. But look at that damn torque curve, or should I say flatline. Would'nt think it would have hot cams with a torque curve that flat.

i cant tell if this is a dig at me or not haha. i know it probably isnt making much power after 6000rpm, but still why not run it out on the dyno

Yep, same dyno. When I ran mine an e46 M3 put down 258whp.

After I put the motor back in the e30, we should do a pull or two :D

still having a tough time swallowing that one. IF the dyno is correct, you HAVE to have cams. End of story.
