    help me please

    Hi guys, I am still new for BMW, so Could you help me? I have E30 with '99 S52 engine, and mileage are around 70000. problem is sometime shut down engine whenever stop the car. there is no noise or idling problem. just shut down engine, but easy to start, and go. Is this normal for BMW? I heard many BMW has this kind of problem.... If anybody knows about this kind problem, please help me. thanks

      This is normal. BMW designs there cars to turn off at stop lights from 95 onwards to save gas.

            does it just stop like when you turn the key off, or do the rpms drop until it dies? is this a recent swap? you need more details (and better grammar, if you can swing it).

              sorry, I don't speak good english. well, yes stop engine like when turn off engine, and all light come out, but easy to start. never rpm drop like idling problem.

                Do you have a light weight flywheel?
                1989 332IS -S-Fiddy Four-Some weight removed.
                5 lug E36 M3 Brakes Coilovers and LTW's and No ABS.

                      What is the RPM at idle? If it doesn't have a chip (or ECU flash if it is still OBDII) tuned for 1000rpm idle the flywheel is what's causing the problem.

                        1, Look for an air leak between the MAF and the throttle body.
                        2, Find out if the original swapper installed the idle control valve, or if it functions if it is installed.
                        3, Test the throttle position sensor.
