Hi Guys,

I have just been through the entire 35 pages of the twin cam swap thread and summarised a lot of the FAQs about the general requirements to get the engine into your E30. This was both a learning tool for myself...and I guess a big suck up to the forum cus I know I'll be calling upon you all over the comming months :D

I have left out a lot of the stuff about wiring the twin cam...I think for most of us newbies the first steps are physically getting the parts and motor/trans into the car.

This is the first summation, so if people have corrections/additions let me know and I'll try and keep on updating the information.

pretty good job, I found myself mentioned in there along with a couple quotes. scoore 8)
there are a few minor things that were mislabeled, ie: 533i instead of 535i I believe that the 535i eventually superceded the 533i? right? Because we've always used the latest e28 535i motor mounts

Ditto. I just can't believe I ever posted a picture of my custom Euro tranny bracket before cleaning it up. Hahaha :? :D

Is there any difference between e28 535i and e28 M5 mounts ?

I am in the middle of an S54 swap with the 6speed tranny. There are no solutions for a tranny bracket, so I guess I'll have to make one.........

Anyway, what are the measurements of the 320i booster? If it is small enough I caould use it to clear the S54 plenum.

This PDF file is awesome. It might be even better if it was consolidated into the swap wiki (e30dohc.com/wiki). This way we can all update it with the latest information.
