How low does your oil pan sit? Pictures?

I just happen to be looking under the car and it seems like the oil pan sits really low! My car is only on a cup kit right now but coils are in the plans...

Even at the current height, if I added a skidplate, the plate would only be a 2-3"s of the ground! And I'm planning to drop it another 1" or 2". :(

Does anyone have a picture of what their 30 looks like after their m50 swap? The ground clearance; just so I can compare.

My guess is like an inch lower than the IS lip I have up front.
You can't drop an M50e30 much. Mine is probably -40/40 and I have the shits when parking on sidewalks and driving off normal roads.
I also have a really bad habit of passing various objects and debris on the road between the wheels. You can't do that. Either do a ninja trick or hit it with the wheels.

LoL - awesome... That pretty much sounds like how mine looks.

Well I will definitely be investing in a skidplate as soon as I get coils and just keep a spare pan at the house. I'm used to driving low cars but it still sucks driving them around here. VT roads are horrible!

I took one look under the car and shot a message to peerless. It's not worth having to think about.

Not a bad height, but I'll stick w/ the power of the m50 and just run a skidplate ;)

So you're saying you'd rather have less power AND have to run a skid plate? ;)

I'm not going to get into this argument in this thread though, just had to make the observation.

And the black one is nice! Definitely seems like a close call!

Maybe for your oil pan, but not for driving on. e30s <3 twisty mountain roads.

I got plenty of ground clearance (see sig for details).

Yeah there are definitely some nice twisty roads around here but most of the good ones aren't taken care of and have huge potholes & cracks that no longer make it any fun unless you have a car dedicated for track use (aka not slammed/stretched/poked/etc). Which mine won't be...
