    Ansa or IE catback?

Hey guys. Been driving my m52 e30 for a while now, and it sounds like ASS. Current setup is obd2 headers, stock obd1 downpipes welded into OEM midpipes with a replacement cat, followed by a stock catback with a crappy single in/out muffler welded in (came with car). I got a hold of a used IE and Ansa catback, and I'm not sure which one to use. Any thoughts?

    Pics of my setup

After looking through a couple videos and reviews, I think I do too. Ansa seems like it'll reduce rasp more. I'm in socal, so I'm not too worried about it rusting out quickly, like people say it will...

Ansa blows out faster....and gets kinda loud........Im basing this on over 20 yrs of seeing folks run em on M10s in 02's....

I had an ansa on my first e30. It rusted out rather quickly.

Really? The couple vids I watched seemed a little raspy. It's much thinner material. The IE catback is like 10lb lighter than the Ansa.

I suppose I could try them both... Kind of a PITA though

I vote neither. get a nice 2-1 merge, 3" metalcore cat, 3" dynomax turbo as a resonator, and a 3" borla as a muffler, and build yourself a nice single 3" exhaust. It'll sound better than ansa or IE.

That, OR you could always go down to wal-mart get yourself a cherry bomb glasspack. I vote Nando's option though.
West German BMWs, they just don't make the same as they did before the wall fell.
^Case in point: Auto-Repair Technology. Everytime my car isn't starting or acting up I let it sit, sometimes for an hour, sometimes for days. But it eventually fixes itself.
