I am running the stock e36 ('92 325is) tstat which I think is around 88c? And as for the radiators aux fan switch, it's running one from a 325e (yet the radiator is from a 89 325i). So, my main question is, where should the temp gauge comfortably sit? If you're looking at the temp gauge, on the left its the blue, then there's that small line, and then you're at half way, ect down to the red, on the right. Mine has been sitting from the top of the blue, to the line right after it.
Should I run a lower tstat? I'm running a 16" 1500cfm pusher fan (no fan attached to the motor) mounted in front of the radiator that I can turn on from in the car. I'd just like to know where (with my set up, minus the electric fan) my temp gauge SHOULD sit, and when I should turn on the fan.
Maybe I'm getting paranoid, but I'd rather be safe than sorry and NOT have my car overheat. Ugh, what a nightmare.
EDIT: M50nv.
