    Ok, guys, not sure where to start, but I just got my S52...I need help on where to start. AT a minimum, I would like to get the engine started outside the motor...I already got most of the swap parts...will post pics soon.

    You'd like to get the engine started outside the motor?

      It's possible. In HS, we built a crate for the motor, wired everything up, was able to start the motor and let it run open headers

      It's not practical to do it though.
      I got a fender roller now! LMK if you need me to roll your fenders or want to rent the tool from me locally.

        I can see how it's done. It's doable. The tricky part will be fuel but it's not too bad.

            i frequently will run SBC's and BBC's out side of their applications(marine or auto) It is very easy to do on a carbureted engine, and with about 3 wires and a jerry can you can run one. These engines are a little tricker because you are going to need a fuel pump in the system. if you can get a working fuel pump system going, then its really only a case of touching wires to the battery to get the engine running.
