Chasing my tail with a DME code.

After clearing codes, I always get the Peake C8 "DME Control Unit" code on the SECOND startup.

I've swapped DMEs, chips, etc, and it continues to do this to me. Where the hell do I go from here? I'm sick of looking at the check engine light.

        It runs well.

I suppose I'll swap the ecu relay again, but i've changed those before.

EPROM, ECU, relay.. That is what I have been told. I had that or a similar code as well - Solution? Standalone :)

Do you have a performance chip? That may be the 413's checksum code, which would indicate that the tuner forgot to correct the checksum on the chip before burning it. It shouldn't effect how the car runs at all.

If you have a TRM chip, send it back to me and I'll fix it.

This is 100% correct often. My personal issue just *happened* months after getting the correct checksum. One day I was driving along and it threw a CEL for DME memory supply IIRC.
