    Taurus fan?

Anyone run a Taurus fan instead of the stock aux push fan? I'm looking for a little extra cooling power. A lot of guys run them w/ muscle cars and offroading rigs because of how good they are.

And if so, is there an easy way to wire one up w/ the stock sensors?

I don't think you will find too may ford fans here. Couple of Chevy guys, and at least 1 mopar fan, but not so much on the Fords.

Yeah and I don't blame you but if I could pick one of these up for $20-30, it would definitely be worth it to me because then I could use the extra funds in other needed areas...

Honestly I can't stand fords - hate them w/ a passion! But a fan that has been proven to be better then a lot of other aftermarket fans (pushing over 3000cfms); can't really be denied especially for the cost.

And it's not like anyone would see the "ford" part under my hood so I think I could tolerate it, unlike a pair of taurus skirts that so many e30 guys run...

Ford Taurus fans are great and i plan on using one as well.

that fan pulls a lot of amperage though so make sure you use a good relay when installing that fan.

we wired one up straight up to a battery and it was amazing how high it hovers in place on its own.

A $30 3000 cfm fan is nothing to shake a stick at.

That said what are the dimensions? With the 6 cyl. rad the max you can really fit is a 16" afaik. Also if you are going to run the fan in a pusher configuration it needs to be fairly thin doesn't it? I'm not not sure how much difference it makes if you remove the a/c condenser or not.

After you get the fan then go to www.dccontrol.com get a nice fan controller that is proven reliable, works with a/c electric water pumps...just look!!. I run it on my 5.2l Jeep and it rocks! The Taurus fan is very powerful and $25 at the boneyard, umm hell yeah!! I have found new motors can be had for $15-30 bucks! My e30 is getting one soon!!!

Exactly - as for the fitment, I know the fan is pretty slim but that is partly what I was hoping to hear from on here... I will be picking up one in a couple weeks, so I will have better fitment/measurements details then.

Thanks for the controller link - seems like a decent setup!

Pusher without a/c condenser running late model 6 cylinder rad?

That pretty much answers the question then.
