    s52 w/ FI for E30

I am currently in the process of doing an s52 swap into my 89 E30 and cant decide if i'm going to go the turbo route as well. (I really want to though)

Is an s52 with a turbo TOO MUCH power for an E30?

I dont want to be slippin around everywhere evertime i accelerate.

Any turbos anybody would recommend if i were to go FI?

it is too much power for an E30, and you will be slipping around everywhere (especially in wet seattle), but that doesn't mean you shouldn't do it.

        X2

Supercharge it. It'll be cheaper to find a used kit on bimmerforums, it'll be plenty fast, and much more controllable.

            Nice! That supercharger looks awesome!

Well money isnt the issue and if i were to do either supercharged or Turbo i would have to do the turbo hands down. My brother has a 97 M3 with a vortec V2 on his and i just dont like what hes getting out of it.

Anyone running this setup right now? i would love to see what you think of it.

I think 300whp with the right gearing would be just fantastic. But Where do you want the power to come on? Up-top? In the middle? Super down low? Make some decisions with what you like in your car and decide from there.

With a properly specd turbo you can have the power wherever you want it to be

If you have the correct gearing and good size tires, I don't see why you shouldn't turbo it.
You could always fun flares and if that's not your style roll the shit out of your fenders.

why use a custom bottom mount when an off the shelf spa fits? although I won't lie it takes a little clearance to the subframe to get a large compressor housing to fit :D
