Started m52 for the first time but engine lights

    It's triggering the throttle position sensor, so you can do it at the TB. It'll be nearly impossible without a second person inside the car, though.

      Well I think mine doesn't work to display codes. I know my evap sensor isn't plugged on so maybe that's what's throughing the check engine light.

      But still the revs jump up and down. Doesn't seem to do it right away. But after running for a few minutes. It goes from 900-1000 or so to 1400-1500 rpms.

        Suck it up and buy a code reader, then. You'll be WAY happier anyway.
