      Weak.

Did you have to enlarge the trans tunnel? Enlarge shifter passage? etc...

Of course you had to wire it so it saw no faults... Was there anything mechanically special to do to get it in there? Driveshaft, etc.

Imagine if everyone who did anything "first" was like this... sheesh.

There is enough free / open info for these cars. Something has to be a secret.

Congrats on completing your swap. Pretty cool.

I care bitch. End of story. Go cry to someone else that cares. Just because you aren't being spoon fed the information you bitch as if its something damn near impossible. If you actually tried to do something rather than look for it you'd actually see that its easier than you think. So why don't you stop being lazy and selfish for your own needs of knowing and do the damn work.

There is enough free/open information on these cars. I'm surprised he's bitching about using diagrams when he himself uses them. Quite stupid.

The swap wouldn't be a secret if people actually tried to do it like they do with manual 24v swaps.

my bet is if it was something that really mattered to you, he would probably be willing to help out. but he is not required to post any information he chooses not to.

the tone really has changed. instead of being an open community to help each other outs its all about who can find the secret and keep it the longest.

I will agree that the tone around here has really changed over the last 6 years.

Those were the "good ol days" when posting a question was ONLY after you personally held a wrench and tried to figure it out. Questions were more like " ok, im stumped. here's what i tried, here are the technical symptoms." Now its more useless speculation and a LOT of misinformation regurgitated because someone saw another post...... NOT because they have personal experience with it.

I commend jahnaboi for diving in and figuring it out. Im sure he would help someone out that is actually in the process. janhaboi, congrats.

                      cheers, jason

^ - Yup. Been helping some people already. Most people who've tried and almost completed their swap are just asking for verification of some wires.

The mentality has changed. People have become less reliant on their own abilities. Love your s54 e30 m3 though Jason. You kept the standard ecu + DV right?

You should have to show proof of disability to get help with an auto 24v swap anyways. If you have a working left leg you're a bigger douche than this guy for wanting to do it than he is for not wanting to help. Also bothering to put a weak sauce 325i tranny when m3 autos are much more stout and a dime a dozen makes you a double douche. Only I am unscathed by doucheldome in this thread, go me.

You obviously need to do more homework because the only available m3 obd1 automatic transmission came in a 1995 m3 which are not a "dime a dozen." You should probably post less and do more work.

How can you post misinformation and think your not a double douche?

Sounds like you are helping people with their swaps so I commend you sir.

                                Great job with the swap!
