    M50 stroker

Hello there, i got a m50b25 swapped in my e30 and i also have a bottom end from a m52b28. So i was thinking to put the crankshaft, rods and pistons to my m50 to get more power.
But could i use the pistons of the m50 to get higher CR or would the pistons hit in the top?

    Sorry for my english

    Thanks for reading

No. The TU block oil and coolant passages won't line up head to block

yes, you can use pistons from m50b25 and crank+rods from m52b28TU...

Not sure what you're asking...you have an M52 bottom end with M50B25 components???

Are you asking if you can swap out the rotating bits for M52 stuff and rock a standard M50 head?

            Im currently running:

            M50B25 bottom
            M52B28 Pistons (84.5mm)
            M52B28 Crank

Make sure you either bend the oil pan baffle or swap it out with an E34 oil pan baffle. Otherwise your pistons will be kissing the baffle.

Yes, actually i was asking in general, what can i do with the stuff i got :)

So i think ill use the rotation bits from the m52 and put them in the m50 block.

Do you know what CR would i have with that combination??

              Thanks you all :D

I saw now that you have a m50b25 not tu, so i'm not sure about rods... Because Tu and not Tu don't have the same rods... If I'm right, you will need rods from m20, these are 130mm... And m52b28 are 135mm... But it's what I think, and I'm not sure about it... If I'm right with m52b28 crank + m20rods+pistons from m50b25 you should have about 10,6:1 CR... But I would recommend you to try and test with m52 crank and rods with your m50 pistons, but before that find some m20 rods to be sure...

Yeh the E34 motor is the same, you already have a heard start too since it has the correct oil pan.

I'm extremely confused. M52B28 crank with M20 rods and pistons from an M50B25????

Do you mean M50B25 pistons on M52B28 crank and rods?

you would just swap everything in the bottom end over, pistons, rods and all. Unless the deck heights of the block are different, there's no reason why you'd use B25 pistons.
