Nice, did you get a metal or plastic impeler'ed unit? And, did you get the one with the asymmetrical Kevlar bands to promote adhesion and prevent separation at OVER 9000???!?!????????

I already stated I have around 2k for a budget turbo build. I don't have enough to buy your amazing turbo stages. No flame they are sexy.

I am in a good place to turbo, I live in Binghamton. It is home to BU and I have a good amount of friends that are MEs and they turbo shit ALL day because it is experience in their field. One friend does everything thing you can think of for FI. If I had the money to spend on your system I would buy a S52 and enjoy the amazing NA engine.

Yeah, for m20s I have no problem. I just got the M50 last fall and I am just trying to sort out the few issues needed.

I forgot the #1 rule on BMW forums. Everyone is a fucker so don't ask questions just search. I don't mind searching one bit, just thought I would try and save a bit of time asking for some input.

I don't remember what it was. I paid 150 for it, but if it is not the right kind I'll buy another.

You should get the stewart. And the belt type?

Mainly SCCA solo, a few track weekends and I am going to race a few of my friends STis at skyview drags in Owego. No hate at the STis. I am an EVO 9 type of a guy though.

I can come close to them at the auto-x because I out handle them but I know they will crush a stock m50 in the 1/4.

I am just looking for enough power to beat them at a legal drag course.

I am going with rota slipstream rims and a set of R-compound tires.

I am not going to every event looking to win every place. I do it because it is fun and I love driving fast through courses.

I am just looking for a bit of experience in building the M50 the right way the first time. I have two cars and this is just a project, no need to rush it to only have to take it apart again.

Fel-Pro for everything and only the mid to premium grade for everything. (mid was only if they did not have premium)

Stewart is the head gasket brand?

Stewart is the water pump. What brand belt are you running is what I was getting at.

Ah, well I still have the water pump coming in. I'll have it sent back and just buy that Stewart brand.

                    Thanks Farbin.

I think I will just do the s50 cam under pulleys, chip and my VW friends only turbo. I don't really need to know what to buy or do because that is all they do for their R32s and GTIs. So I will just do the turbo route and buy what ever they think it best.

If you want help, show that you've done a lil research and don't jump to dismiss our knowledge over your local gti crowd. I've spent plenty of time in broom county and the only person I know that id trust with real e30 advise in the area is frank m. All that being said, you're still being unrealistic wanting a budget sti killer.

Frank is a good guy, bought a 325e off of him 2 months ago. I forgot that he does turbos.

2k is really budget? Maybe if you buy everything new.
