Is that the bases' shop? Looks like a great place to do stuff.
Can't wait to start my swap. I have a '95 S50B30 sitting in my van right now...no hoist to get it out yet!Comment

Ya, the base shop is pretty well equipped. They're very expensive in my opinion at 5 bucks per hour. I think I ended up paying around 150-200 just in shop fees. This includes their ridiculous over night fee. I could go off for 20-30 minutes on this topic but I'll spare you all.
So the swap is "finished"... Definitely drive-able but not without some kinks. The issues include: It pops out of second(I need a shorter throw shifter to stop it from hitting the shifter hole), I need to get a temp switch for the fan(getto toggle has to go), the gearing is f'ed(I basically don't have first) and the tach is off by at least 30%(???).
The important thing is that it drives. I'll have to go junkyard'in to find a good LSD with a MUCH lower ratio. Any suggetions on ratio? M50 with ZF trans.

Hey man, I'm back from Afghanistan, how much longer are you gone for?
Aren't you a SrA? they changed the rules before I left that E4 and below don't have to pay the hourly fee!Comment

Why don't SrA and below have to pay? That hourly rate is not all that expensive. So now the rate will be more if your above their poverty line?Comment
