    Random no crank...

Well, the last few weeks my car has sometimes been hesitant to crank, sometimes it would take 2 turns of the key to get it going. I have just been living with it. The other night scared me though, it was probably about half hour of messing with the key before i finally got it going. When i turn the key all the lights come on, and when i turn to crank nothing happened. The alternator and battery seem to be good according to my multimeter. I left it for the last 2 days and used another car because i have been busy, went out tonight and it started up just fine.

any suggestions? Tumbler in the ignition? starter solenoid?

i checked the obvious at the C101, and at the solenoid, nothing is loose...

the randomness of it makes it frustrating.

Sounds like the ignition switch is about to take a dump.

I'd try just the brown part with wires first, it'd be much easier than swapping keys and shit.

just got done, did what you said and just did the red/brown switch itself, took all of 20 minutes... car starts beautifully now. Found a broken solder on the old switch.... so i guess that was my problem.
