    FML Need help

I was trying to tighten one of the screws on the thermostat housing and it broke inside. Now I used a screw extractor bit and it also broke inside the pilot hole I made for it, FML....Now I'm stuck and don't know what to do.

If it's just one you may be alright. Use a good sealant and see what happens

Yeah but with the luck I have, unfortunately, it's two, the ones at the bottom. One was already there when I bought the engine. FML? Yes, indeed.

Even with one itll leak, I forgot to tighten one and it pissed out.

Drill it out and re-tap it.

            Yeah. Problem fix for now.
I have another question. Why are my headers getting so hot at start up? Is it because the headers are open? I started it up today to because I was going to take it to a shop to connect the exhaust but my header got real hot at start-up and some smoke started to come out from the headers side

Umm it's normal for the exhaust to get hot.
How hot are we talkin here?

If they are glowing at idle your shit is running super lean for some reason but I highly doubt that is happening since you have no O2 sensor hooked up and it will tned to run rich in that case..

The burning smell is preservative oil or engine oil that go on the headers or engine oil on the hot side of the block burning.

Even after just 10-20 seconds on start-up? It's so hot that you can't touch it without burning your hand. The O2 sensor is plugged in.

There are people who will come to your house. And there only deal is that they will extract studs, bolts, and broken stuff. You should call him. They are really good at it.

I used a few diamond tip dremel bits to whittle away at an eazyout in an exhaust stud.
