    Idle control valve

I finnished my m50 swap and could not do the exhaust system so I sent it to a muffler shop.(400.00$ latter)I had to drive it home after they were done .....The engine had only run for five minutes since it was installed..I took a chance and drove it home....It ran terribly with no idle and popping in the exhaust. When I got home I found the ICV valve was off the manifold I hooked it back up and the car wants to rev to about 4000rpm ....when I unplug the ICV vave the same thing happens.....any thoughts on what to do?

    Thanks

Is your speed signal wire connected in the back of your cluster?

I know on the M20 there is a sensor under the throttle body intake. I remember having the same effects after I did a tune up. Just forgot to plug it back in.
