    swap exhaust options

I've been reading through the threads to figure out what options I have for exhaust. Its for an s50 and I already have the OBD1 manifolds. I've see some of the active autowerke track pipes for sale on various forums. Has anyone tried hooking up one of these to the stock OBDI manifold? I'm wondering if it would have clearance issues. I'll be using the AKG motor mounts and this will be mostly autocross/track day car so not worried about cats.

Figured the cost of ebay header and custom exhaust work to connect to mid pipe might be close in price to used track pipe.

Most of the e36 stuff will fit with a small amount of massaging. Depending on your resources (budget and tools) it may be easier to just to fabricate something from scratch.

I know the stock e36 header and midpipe will fit with some work such as spacers on the motor mounts or using THR control arm mounts. I was just wondering if anyone had used this combination on an e30, maybe track pipe has more clearance at CAB? I don't have access to a welder and suck at welding so if I go that route will be paying a shop to do it.

I went with e36 euro headers... fabricated new header flange, welded 2.5" pipes to E36 cat back.

E36 cat back works with little modifications.

I used an entire E36 m3 Exhaust fit to my car. Its a big mofo. Cut off the down pipes and get the downpipes fitted to the car.

              Heavy. Sounds factory quiet.
