Its an 89 325I I doubt its common but I hooked up my lines at the firewall bacwards and I think they broke it.

I have an 89' as well.
I ended up bypassing it, but yea I think it was a recall though it's vague in my head.

What year is your car? Isn't there a recall for this common problem?

At what I think is the heater check valve. Its a white and black check valve looking thing with a two wire plug coming off it. It drips onto the gas pedal/my right foot. Is there a way to get just a new one of those or maybe patch it up with some sort of silicone type stuff?
