Whats your guess at the total number of running 24v swaps?

I remember when I first started researching the 24v swap in '06. They were relatively few and far between. (My estimate at that time would have been 40-60). Now there are quite a few. My guess is probably closer to 300.

    What do you guys estimate?

Well, I have been making 260 trans braces for the 24V swaps for a few years now. Atleast 2. I know I have sold atleast 150 of them since I started. Shit my last sale I had I sold 36 of them, and that was about 3 months ago.
Id have to say way over 300 for sure.

Was wondering this too since AA thought less than 100 people would have interest in a 24v SC kit for the e30.

I'm guessing 3k-4k in the US, either in progress or running.

              Over 9000.

Shit, I can think of at least 100 within 75 miles of where I lived in SoCal, two years ago. There were old men that had BMW shops with swaps. It's not that rare.

I would use the OP's estimate for euro s50 swaps, maybe.

who knows... i've done three and own one myself. none of my friends are even r3v members.

on the last 2 HPDEs there were atleast 8x e30s and just one two weeks ago had an m20! two that weekend had s50 and s52 the rest stock(ish) m50s and one m30. I think people would rather swap than rebuild an m20. Its ancient, low powered and has a timing belt (pfffft)
                No more e30s for me.

There is probably about 75+ in Oregon alone. Washington has more, and Cali is a cesspool of good and bad swaps. I would say nation wide, over 3k.

It wasnt super rare by the time I did mine back in 06. But after, it seemed like the flood gates opened.

I chased 10+ of them around Road Atlanta last weekend.

                    I would guess 4000+

I would say a few thousand plus. But that's still pretty few and far between. I live in a small town and never seen another one besides mine.

There aren't that many in Toronto. I mean, there is a good ratio though. I know of maybe 8 people with it done in the Greater Toronto Area, including myself.

well, it seems I underestimated :) AlpineE30m52 used to live around here and I saw an m50 swap near Tampa one time, but thats all I've seen near me.

I kind of thought that since r3v is such a wealth of 24v swap info that most swapped cars would be on here. Apparently, thats not the case.
