    pic request e34 dipstick m50/s52 e30 swap

Hey fellas, I was wondering if anyone could post a pic of where they bolted the dipstick in place. I am sure I am missing a bracket to bolt the dipstick in place. I have an obd1 s52 conversion with m50 manifold in my e30. Right now the dipstick tube is just inserted in the oil pan but not bolted to anything to keep it from moving around. Any close up pics would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Use an e34 front manifold bracket, should have a place on it for the dipstick to bolt to.

bought this piece but don't have the slightest idea where it bolts to, just wanted to bump this thread and see if anybody else has used this solution?

I'm having this problem too. From what I can tell, you don't need #16. I looked in the junkyard last week and I think you just need the front manifold bracket from an E34 (I was too lazy to pull it).

edit: I'm gonna pull one this weekend. I'll update on Monday.

I figured it was just misinformation, which sucks because that bracket was at least $20 :(

Are you guys sure you are using #16 (11611738165) from an M50 E34? It bolts to the front intake manifold bracket (#5) and it definitely fits.

However, I can tell you it does NOT fit wit the Turner/Eurosport M50 manifold swap kit.

Ya, part number 16 bolts up to the front manifold bracket and then the dipstick ube bolts to number 16.

I will try and take some pictures of mine on the weekend.

I just used a small piece of steel stock with a hole drilled in either end, then bolted it to the front manifold bracket.

I just bent and drilled some aluminum stock. Seems solid enough.

I welded mine to the intake manifold support. Works great.

I used all thread and an aluminum tube to attach it to the intake support.

This is an M52 with M50 manifold and OBD1 conversion, just to clarify.

This is what I used. Bolt onto the manifold in the bottom
