anyone using a borla 40349 muffler

I am getting ready to redo my system to a 3" pipe and was considering going to something similar to this.

that looks pretty good, but I wonder if you'll have enough room on the E30 to reduce the tip spacing down like that without having an extreme angle.

I prefer a single in/out for simplicity but finding a good looking single tip for a 3" muffler is impossible.

Yeah I came across the thread on BFc, I have consider making the exit hole bigger is needed. Basically it will take some mocking up.

We built that exhaust at the shop. It's my buddy Nathan's car. Sounds amazing, but yes the dual exit is simply retarded. I'd say get a single center in, center out, and make a y-pipe for the tips if you want 2.

          My 2 cents.

More info on your buddy's setup please. I have dual straight from headers to muffler. I've bought an E36 M3 midpipe but not sure which route to go. I like how this looks; clean and simple. Thanks

Wanting a twin out for looks as having a single out a Tech I will look silly, who knows, I might change my thoughts on exhaust again soon anyway. The tip build looks to be the hardest part.

Ya, so do as I said: get a single out & just make a y-pipe, then weld 2 tips to it. The dual out will make things near impossible if you use the same size muffler.
