    Do you have access to a combustion gas detector? They can be purchased from Marco or possibly napa. Small clear 3 chamber cylinder with a hand pump. Comes with a chemical that detects CO2. You just run the car until warm then shut off, Remove rad cap and use detector to check for combustion gasses in cooling system.

      I think White325is told me about this. Due to a stupid thing I did 3 weeks back, i'm scared to take off my coolant cap when I know my car is cold. My car over heated 20 minutes away. I loosened the cap a bit to let the air out. Once I didn't hear the hissing anymore from the air coming out I proceeded to unscrew the cap. 10 seconds later it was a cursing fest. The cap blew off, boiling coolant flying everywhere 4 feet high out of the overflow tank. I regret doing an m50 swap, has given me nothing but headaches.




      Most excruciating pain I have ever experienced, and I have slammed my head on the pavement many times. For about 5 hours it felt like someone was holding a torch on my wrist. It was a lot worse than it looks.

        This is why you always, ALWAYS have a sturdy rag over the cap/fill area and never have anything but a firm grip on the cap if you're removing it while the engine's hot.

          24valve swap

          i have the same promblem, my tempreture goes over the half when im driving and drops down to the middle when i stop. it feels some time like i have a vaccume leak. i bleed the system tons of time. im fixing to chang the water pump. im hopping there is nothing worng with the head. hit me back if found out whats going on

              Moodyothman, I stopped caring, I am picking up another m50 in 2 weeks. So if I happen to decide to rip this motor apart for shits and giggles, i'll check it all out.

                i changed the water pump, the stiffness went away for a while, but its back now. i dont have any creamy deposit in my cap. my last attempt is ganna be taking the t-stat out
