    Great resource

BTW that tranny part number wont help you differentiate early vs late eta. You have to look at the date stamp inside the bellhousing.

Weren't all early getrags sheet metal console? If you have the regular aluminum shift bracket then you can rule out the bellhousing depth issue.

I didnt want to take over jonny5's post but here we go....
I think we are going with the most practical route, 30mm TOB. We dont have time to replace the output shaft (that was destroyed by PO) from the late tranny, and I dont have the $$$ right now to buy another tranny. Dont know where i can get one on the fly but guess its to the dealer mon morning.
Is there going to be a diffrence in feel and performance if we go this route?

Well I learned something, that there are 2 kinds of G260's Hopefully the TO bearing will fix it.

I don't see how a thicker throw out bearing is going to correct nearly an entire slave rod worth of slack. I could see it correcting an issue where the slave fits normally but still doesn't disengage the clutch. The thicker bearing isn't going to be over an inch longer. To show what I mean from left to right

I am under the impression that to change the output flange is a bitch. I was told that its not worth the headache. Only if i was going to re-build the tranny would be worth it. Is it that hard? Is it worth it?

Output flange takes a few minutes if its off the car. Never tried it on the car. Probably sucks more.
