Oil pan clearance compared to m20

I was wondering if anyone knew the difference between the m20 and m50 oil pan for if which one is lower and will the oil pan be below the subframe?

M50 is lower. They both hang below the subframe.

Is there a remedy for this in regards to raising the motor even the slightest bit?

It's been suggested to me to shorten the height of the pan and the pickup as well, anyone done this?

chris Castro did it for me, he's name on here is "castros" PM him and find out exactly which mounts he used but I believe they were solid m50 mount. We also have another thread here called "raised motor", check that out too, im pretty sure all the info is there

Just curious but how does this affect the alignment of the drive train?

yes my bad, I have an m20.

RobertK, it didn't effect it as bad as I and everyone said it would. I noticed Im a tiny bit slower on my favorite canyon than I used to be but it still handles like a dream.

Id be curious as to long term results from this. Even slight deflection of the guibo greatly reduces life. Combine that with high power and baggypants driving style and I wonder.

why would you go through the trouble of doing a motor swap for "performance" (yay 25hp) only to raise it up (and thus raising your COG) and reducing performance in other ways?
