    e46 Flywheel on S50 swap?

I just wanted to throw this out there in case this would work and maybe it has been done before.

I have a S50/tranny swap in my 89 and I also happen to have a new Fidanza Flywheel for an e46 that I have had for a while.

Any way to make this flywheel work if I use another clutch? would I have any starter problems?

thanks in advance and have a great New Year's!

I'm using a flywheel that cam from an e46. Real oem says all the staters are the same between e46 and e36.

            hehehehe

And if Jason sells his, and someone else needs one, I have one too, but buy Jason's first, mine has 32K on it. Besides, he's nicer than I am.

(FWI the self adjusting clutch mechanism is a bit of work, and to install the clutch from one of these that has been already used, will require [I think] a special factory tool. I just put one of these on my 540, and once you undo the hold-back shipping retainer, it sets itself, and you better have aligned it properly)

Speaking here of E46 M3 clutch.....

I think the differences between the E46 M3 and non-m cars needs to be clarified. The input shaft spline is a larger diameter on the e46 m3 6-speed and therefore the clutch for that car will not work with the ZF 5-speed. My question is can you use an E36 or non-m E46 clutch with the stock E46 M3 flywheel? I read on another forum you can't but you can buy ltw flywheels that fit both the E36 and E46 M3's.
