      no aspect of a 318 swap is different then a 325 swap. Read the stickies, and do a search, the info is everywhere

        While that is true, the confusion came from all the differences from late models and early model 325's to the early 318's. Front struts, rear drum brakes, etc.

          yes, the early 318's had drums and smaller front struts, but those dont affect the engine

            What's different is the early car has different c101 plug....and obviously early 318 car has small struts/rotors and even diff... things you would obviously want to upgrade.

                      For your swap, are you still using the smaller 318i strut tubes and brakes? Also, for suspension, will there be a large enough difference in the weight of the m5x/s5x to need to switch to 6cyl springs? (I'm lowered on some 4cyl specific springs, and don't wanna have to redo the suspension) And is that the M42 radiator you are using?
                      (Sorry for the questions, but there aren't a lot of m10 to 24v swap threads so some of this info is a little scattered and confusing)

                        s50 for 318i

                        I changed to 325i strut tubes with h&r sport springs with bilsten shocks.I left the drum brakes in the back and the 325i rotors in he front.I used a new porsche 944 brake booster .I may go to 5 lug some day once i gather all the parts.
