Swap starting with full S50 M3; what should I pull?

    Hey guys,

    I have the opritunity to have at a 1995 E36 M3.

Looking to do a 24v swap into my E30.

What should I grab off the car?

    Engine
    Harness
    ECU
    Trans
    Etc...

I know that I need an E34 525i oil pain and other bits and peices from other cars.

Just wondering what all I should pull from this E36

    Thanks guys!

2 door or 4 door? Did they even make 4 door s50 m3s?
Grab the driveshaft too if it's a coupe.

Grab the driveshaft, but you'll need a 6-bolt (Z3) flange to use it.

A Z3 flange for what? The LSD?

The trans is a 3 bolt and the LSD is a 4.

The length will work for an E30 though. I've read that most people use either an E30 M3, 87-88 325e, or 96-98 E36 328 drive-shafts with the M3 ZF trans.

Might as well grab the steering rack while you're at it.

I disagree with LOTS of stuff on this site. For example, a 944 booster gives you the same clearance and feel like stock, far better choice. Also, since we now can buy a pre-made tranny brace, that part of the equation is moot.
