not to hi-jack here but anyone have a picture of a 16" puller mounted up? To me it looks like it'd be a super tight fit and for that reason I went with a pusher setup (I ditched the AC condenser a long time ago), unfortunately my fan died and I have to replace it so I'm open to reconsidering my mounting setup...

                thanks Lee,

Honestly I'm looking at picking up your brackets to go with a 16" spal, good to know it fits nicely in there, also do you use a 2000+CFM rated pusher fan in spot (that's what I seem to see recommended the most)?

^^^When the car is at speed, it shouldn't require a fan at all. When stationnary you do need some flow. If the fan is located away from the radiator, you'll need a higher flow fan. If the fan is located right on the rad's fins with minimal air escaping thru the gap, you won't need a high flow fan as you will be forcing air thru the fins. Guess how the brackets are designed... ;-)

I don't know the specific CFM about the Spal fans, from the top of my head. But they are quite enough.

Lee i'll get a pic form the top to show how close it is. These brackets are the shit. Very sturdy and come pre-bent not like the ones in my picture. Was very impressed by them.

http://www.the-fan-man.com/ Have used them 10+ times. Great service, ships quick.

16" is really the biggest you can go, a 14" would be fine though. Just make sure you get one thin enough to fit in there.

Thanks for the picture. The fan is indeed as close as possible from the radiator. Also, the fan can be spring loaded to avoid any possible longitudinal movement caused by vibrations, which is why the brackets are slotted.

BTW Spal sells a rubber gasket to fit between the fan and the rad to better seal it. Not needed with those adapters as th fan is literally flush with the radiator.
