i got mine from ebay for pretty cheap and it was a pusher and a puller. that way i had options for placement. i went with making it a pusher so i would have room to work on the front of my motor and made a shroud so that i didnt loose any air and that every inch of my radiator gets air. not just the circle spot in the middle from the fan.
i used a 16 in spal fan-FREEDOM- is cruisin at 80, windows down and listening to the perfect song-thinking "this is it"

no i dont. but moving the ac stuff forward (im guessing in your case you have it) should not be hard.
OR-
i would remove the AC fan and then mount the spal fan in front of both the AC cooler and the rad, and make a shroud that would cover both. that way you use one fan and get the job done, and still have room in front of your motor to work-FREEDOM- is cruisin at 80, windows down and listening to the perfect song-thinking "this is it"

And I'm thinking the Spal mounting kit as well, looks like a better method than the zip-tie things:

I got something in the works right now. As soon as I get it all working I will post up the details.
The plan is to use a 16in 3600cfm pusher in front of the condenser and a 10in 1200cfm puller, along with a mishimoto rad, and 75degree thermostat. The car should not run hot at all, I hope95 7.1L 16V E36 M3

Puller fans are a much more efficient design, but they are a definite bastard to fit in there.
With a decent radiator and a decent pusher+gasket, you will have plenty of cooling.-Dave

And Josh, puller fans are more efficient (not really because of fan design, but because of how they're mounted) but you can get away with either one.paint sucks

To be honest, I'm inclined to go with the push because of it's location, it will hardly be seen.
