    Correct me If, I am wrong...240 tranny help

    Ill be using my 240 transmission for my m50 swap here pretty soon.

    So I have a lightened single mass 325 SETA flywheel. Shaved to clear pan.

    -e30 m3 clutch and PP (might just buy a brand new m20 clutch)

    -325/323 Throw out bearing

    -240 slave (same as 260)

    -240 pilot bearing? Need to make sure, I need the 240 one...

    and what flywheel bolts can I use? my old ones? and the spacer?

    When I ran my g240 I used stock m50dual mass and clutch setup. g240 slave and g260 shift linkage. e36 325i manual driveshaft.
    92 Granite Silver Vert

      i have e36 325i shaft, just wondering on flywheel bolts and the the TO bearing, and pilot bearing.

        240 pilot bearing
        323 euro TO
        Buy new flywheel bolts (11227805885). These are the one I ran on my single mass flywheel

          I ran a stock e36 325i TOB but that was because I ran the clutch setup from the car.

            Euro 323 and 89 325i TO bearing are the same. Cool.

              I'd run the taller 533i TOB personally. Not sure of the part number off hand.

              Also, you do not need to buy brand new bolts. I don't care what anyone on R3V tells you, I've done more flywheel removals and installations that anyone on the board I would bet.

                I think the pilot bearings you need are either

                11211709681 with dimensions 12x32x10 IF manufactured BEFORE 9/90

                or

                11211720310 with dimensions 15x32x10 IF manufactured AFTER 9/90

                edit: I would measure your g240's input shaft just to confirm however

                  BMW states multp places these are TTY and with the crank harmonic issues the 24v motors have i would never risk that. Ive seen what happens when it goes wrong.

                      Seems so, but I would measure the shaft first just to be sure. Alot of the info I've gathered has not been definite and many times it's been different for plenty of people using the g240. I'm in the same boat as well when I begin my swap in the next week or so.

                        Not E30 but I did an M44->M52 swap on a Z3 and i just used the M52 dual mass and clutch kit. The TO's are the same.

                            just order both pilot bearings...they are cheap enough,... i wouldnt want to hold up my swap because of a $10 bearing..running S50 G240 E36 325ds 323to M20 shaved around 15lbs.....so far....so good!

                              Good idea. I'm doing exactly the same set up as you except with a m52 power plant.
