      There's nothing random about them. You need the EWSII computer, keyring antenna, key and DME. The EWS computer, key and DME have to match. If you can get all this for cheap with the engine you won't have to track down all the OBDI shit, it might end up being cheaper. It will however require a bit more wiring prowess.

            I did this exact swap. Go OBD1, the wiring to keep obd2 is complicated if its a 97 and if it is any later you can't do it without transferring the body harness and computers as well. Or keep obd2 and have matt delete ews...
