    Knock Sensors

Where to get them for much less, than $65 a piece. Seems really expensive for what they are.

65 is not bad. I get my parts at cost from BMW due to a deal I made with one of the managers and they are not cheap at cost.

I know... But I am just about to buy m52 knock sensor and modify the plug. It's unreasonable to spend $130 on knock sensors, when m52 ones can be had for around 50 for both.

Anyone ever checked to see if they are compatible beside the plug? Would suck to be running into issues because of this though.

I recall looking into that, too. It was that the type of sensor or the number of wires used was different. It wasn't just a one plug/two plug thing.

so is there a good place to get them cheaper then? or should I start going to junk-yards to see if I can find uncracked ones?

I ran a S52 knock sensor on my OBDI S52, and also now on my DD 95 M3.

                  Neither threw/throws a light?

Cut the connector off and spliced on the M50 BOSCH type connector.
