the 318 radiators have the built in expansion tank.. but there's a reason the 6cyls have a bigger radiator.. it took an army of german engineers and years of data to come up with that desicion.. i suggest you abide by it.

I wonder what it would take to install in e34, since m20b25 radiator is not the same in the e34 vs e30 and has a built in expansion tank...
jean, not clear what you are asking exactly. to be sure, an e34 rad will NOT fit in an e30 body. it is about 4 inches too wide. i can say this for an absolute fact because i tried it. if your question is if the mishimoto rad will fit in an e34, the answer is sure since it is smaller due to not having an integral expansion tank. the surface area of the finned section between e36 and e34 is the same. you would need to figure out a way to run a remote reservoir and lower mounts will need to be reworked, however. i wouldn't recommend this course of action. the e34 rad is generally very adequate for the purpose it serves and has the expansion tank built in. i don't see any reason to re invent the wheel here(so to speak)
