    e36 aluminum radiators

Just to confirm, do the e36 mishimoto radiators fit in the oem location ok?

Is the coolant hose location the same as on the oem m20b25 rad?

    thanks

I can comment on the fitment, it slips right in.

The upper coolant hose location should be the same though, not sure about the one on the passenger side.

Drops right in and works with late M20 coolant design.

I wonder what it would take to install in e34, since m20b25 radiator is not the same in the e34 vs e30 and has a built in expansion tank...

the 318 radiators have the built in expansion tank.. but there's a reason the 6cyls have a bigger radiator.. it took an army of german engineers and years of data to come up with that desicion.. i suggest you abide by it.

I am not trying to go smaller, bigger if possible but the lack of exp. tank creates it's own problem.

I've got an E36 Mishimoto. I don't think I'd recommend it for one reason.

Try getting a stock sized overflow hose on that thing. I dare you.

try bending it outwards a bit (as long as your not a tard and break it off it will fit 100%)

jean, not clear what you are asking exactly. to be sure, an e34 rad will NOT fit in an e30 body. it is about 4 inches too wide. i can say this for an absolute fact because i tried it. if your question is if the mishimoto rad will fit in an e34, the answer is sure since it is smaller due to not having an integral expansion tank. the surface area of the finned section between e36 and e34 is the same. you would need to figure out a way to run a remote reservoir and lower mounts will need to be reworked, however. i wouldn't recommend this course of action. the e34 rad is generally very adequate for the purpose it serves and has the expansion tank built in. i don't see any reason to re invent the wheel here(so to speak)
