    C101 pin 7 has 2 green wires?

I grabbed a C101 pigtail form the junkyard to do my S50 swap as well as a M50 Vanos harness many months ago and just now getting ready to do the wiring. The question I have is that on the C101 connector, pin #7 has two green wires coming off of it. I haven't looked at the harness in my car yet but is this double green wire normal? One is heavier gauge. Do they both go to the same pin on the X20 connector? I'm still working on the pinouts for the X20 side.....this is what I have so far

My e30 has a build date of 12/86.

C101 pin out number on left and corresponding X20 pin out number on right

Pin 7 to 21 should be fine just using the one larger guage wire. Just double check you get bat. voltage coming out the other side when youre done.

pin out looks ok, but triple check everything for your car and engine saves you head aches in the long run... you could burn up your ecu if something is wired wrong, ask me how i know.

the only ones missing are the econometer (8 ), RPM (9) and VSS (14). I think these come from the C104 on the early cars? But you want to hook up the VSS at the very least, or the ECU can go into limp mode. eta's don't have unloader relays, correct?

        thanks guys...

I think I remember the econometer coming off the c104 plug......also I have no pins in 8, 9 or 14....only those pins I listed have anything in them.

My car is an i, not an e, so it does have unloader relays.

now I've confused myself. Will my oil level sensor work with this setup? I've seen harnesses where there are 2 extra wires that run to the oil level sender.

you have static and dynamic pluged in the same spots as mine, and then the last pin is grounded to the chasis, not sure if it will work as i havent driven the car yet but thats what i got in my adaptor from ericT.

Talked with EricT (nice and helpful)...and that's exactly what he told me. If you are running an e34 harness it will work!!! awesome
