Not that I know of. Makes no sense to do that, you will lose power. Cheap upgrade for Non vanos car is to get another non vanos intake camshaft and put it on the exhaust side, this way you will have a duration of 240 and lift of 9.7 on both sides, this puts you closer to the S50 camshaft specifications.

Please do the dual intake cams. A buddy told me to do this with my NV M50 but before I go into dealing with a timing chain blind, I want some good outcome of it. Good luck.

Aren't the M50 NV cams on both sides 240 degrees with 9.7 lift already? I've heard about this mod being good but cant work out why?

On non vanos the exhaust side cam is like 225 with 9.0mm lift. More lift means cam lobe has to compress the valve spring further and that takes power. Cars with hotter cams lose low end power but gain peak power. What BMW did is put a camshaft that will result in best power/economy/emissions. So if you are not going to use your car strictly for racing then leave the cams alone.

you use the S50 exhaust cam on the M50 intake side, and the M50 intake cam gets moved to the exhaust side. nobody uses two M50 exhaust cams.

My car made 685 rwhp with completely 100% stock M50 non vanos head, so I think BMW did a good job on the cam selection.
