$50 for booster and master off CList. Just need to find a 91 735i, same PN as the ix. Clevis is all you need after that to the tone of $6.

But with the stock booster you just need to move it over not get a new res and mc, right?

Where did you find said item? All I see is new ones, and 1 for 58$ shipped which doesn't say if it's ATE or Girling.

Edit: I guess this is somehow confusing for some people but you can use your stock res and mc with the 944 booster, just make sure it's the ATE brand. The 944 came with 2 different boosters.

The only diff between the ATE and the Girling is the shaft size is 12 necked to 10 for threads on Girling and the ATE is 10 all the way. Just as a heads up.

But if you get the girling, it kinda defeats the "easiest to mod" factor lol

here's a 944 turbo ATE booster for $49.95 plus $14.95 shipping...although it has a "best offer" on it. Its the same one I have, just needs the rod threaded down further. I also used my stock master cylinder and reservoir. No clearance issues at all...and all 4 studs are bolted!!! Not 3 like the stock slide over method

Shorten, reduce the diameter of, and then rethread. Not hard, but not the easiest for most weekend wrenchers either.

Well I moved mine over 1/2" like the thread on e30 tech said and I ran into some problems, the brake pedal assembly gets in the way and I kinda hacked out a little slot so I can fit the nut on, and the securing pin wouldn't squeeze onto the brake pedal because of the misalignment, I simply bent the bracket on the brake pedal and all is well. I advise you to measure twice cut once, I had the worst time doing this and would have rather bought a new booster.
