Usually I'm not so completely mechanically incompetent. Although, admittedly this is pretty f-ed up.
I'll definitely keep an eye on that thread. I could sure use some moral support from other e30 owners over beer.
Leak it down in the car before you remove it to see if you bent any valves on your shifting incident. if you think it went 7.5 k it may have gone a bit over that.
Talk to your local machine shop as to how to remove it. its beyond normal DIY tools to remove half of a broken crankshaft bolt cleanly, its really really hard stuff.
Are you running OBD1 or OBD2? idk who in their right mind would set a limiter at or above 7500 on an S52. And if you really are missing your crank pulley you couldnt be running OBD1
And youre installing your motor mounts upside down.
Can i assume you swapped a 318 and didnt change the coding plug? The stock limiter is 6800. Youre not revving to 7500 your tac just thinks you are.
It's a grey market 323i. I bought an adapter from treehouse, and had to splice a wire into connector that goes to the cluster. The tach appears to work, but I don't know how accurate it is. I'll try and find out some how.

Like inside the timing chain cover or actually inside the block? I don't think I saw one when I had the pan off.
