intake manifold nut installed upside down :'(

My friend installed an intake manifold nut, you know, the ones with the built in free spinning washer, upside down, washer side up! I have no idea how, but I need to get it off to figure where I'm getting a vacuum leak from. Any ideas?

EDIT: woah I just realized how vague this post sounds, I'll get a good picture of it tomorrow!

Axe a hole into the intake manifold to access the nut better. its faster

Use a nut extractor. It will cut into the upside down nut and allow you to remove the nut.

I got it out though, heated up an 11mm wrench and bent it 90* and got dat bitch out!
