    Wtf..! Will not go over 4k rmp ...help...

    hi guys im done with my swap an now here come the problems pls helpme fix it....!

    after finishing my swap drove the car for about 10 min everything was good.. yesterday took it to the muffer shop so they could hook up my supersprint exhaust pickup car today at 7:30 pm drove the car hard very hard everything was good ..! now the car will not goo over 4k rmp what is wrong with it . i dont want to think that i broke it allready.

    i would be driving and i will step on the gas and it will pull hard all the way to 4k then it feel like theres no more fuel. it does it in every gear if i shift 3500k everything is cool no problem.

    by the way my engine is 97 m52 OBD1 with ZF tranny.
    PLEASE HELP MEEEEEEEEEE..!!!!!!!

      Sounds like you're hitting the soft rev limiter. Check your road speed signal sensor wire/connection that is attached to your rear differential. Don't know how but perhaps it got hit/snagged.

        There is no soft rev limiter at 4000rpm on OBD1. I can redline my car standing.

            Try disconnecting the MAF, if it breaks the car goes into limp mode and the symptoms sound much like you have.

            Mine broke some years ago, I was like what the hey?

              check MAF, Crank position sensor, cam angle sensor. I have mistakenly plugged CPS into Oil temp before.

                  well just got back from tijuana i went to rosarito to test out my NEW 2011 durango R/T its fast for an suv, anywayz thanks for the help guys im going to check the stuff you pointedout and hope i get it fix if i dont i will be back lol

                    ok guys i change the MAF with a good runing one , my CPS is plug in correct all the wire are correct because i took pics of everything. also check the speed sensor an still the same problem car does not die and idle is firm on 700-800, i can't even rev it passed 4k when is standing.

                    what else can i check .

                    any help outthere

                      Speed sensor would definitely make a 24v not rev up

                        really..? i never had problems with my speed sensor thats why i have not really put attencion to that.. will buy a new one. it really get me mad because the car is very smooth in idle but i waffleswaffleswaffles snot go over 4k standing or driving . i change MAF and my crank sensor,cam sensor,knock sensor aRE new, and pluged in correct.

                              is there a different speed sensor i have to use with the 24v swap or can i just use the one that comes with the e30 diff
