    E30-m52 wiring adaptor

hi guys im just about in the middle of my m52 swap and have started to look into the wiring aspect of it, there is a guy on another forum that supplies a custom made loom for £120 but as always i like to look around and see if i can save any money anywhere :)
i have heard talk of a wiring adaptor that sits bewteen the 2 looms but cant find any info on it
any of you guys used anything like that?

    :)

I've been looking into this recently as well as I have a 1998 M52 2.5l sitting in my garage now :) From what I've found, the wiring is actually very similar to OBD1.

What E30 is this going into?

Nice to see another vert out there with a 24v swap! I just actually finished dropping in my s52 w/obd1 conversion into my 89' vert. THey are going to need some serious reinforcements in the rear to eliminate chassis flex. Did you have any plans in mind?

there's lots of adapters out there, some made by forum members and others from some of the BMW tuning companies in the states. I don't know about europe.

if you want to make one yourself you'll need to download the ETM for your car and the car your engine came from, write down pin #s for the C101 (E30) and X20 (E36), then match up the functions.

I'd suggest if you're going to do it yourself, just convert the harness to a C101 plug and skip the adapter altogether. it's cleaner and cheaper (if you're buying pins/plugs new).

I can also make one but it costs money. :p

OBD2 takes a little more adapter work but not much.
